I wish the best for your bro. so sad. i’m a groomer, and we really don’t see too many of them in our shop. they require lot’s of maintenance. very thick coat. but they are a herding dog. so you have to give them something to do. they are much more docile, and calmer than a border collie, or other herders. but they are a good guard dog. they protect!! they aren’t ferocios, but they will alert you of an intruder.
are you looking for a dog to help him? such as a service dog? or are you just wanting to give him a wish that he had years ago? if you want to help him with a sevice dog, you may be able to get an OES trained for that. It’s possible . Don’t know where you are located, but I could put you in touch with a service dog trainer.
