If my dogs lived outdoors for about 6-7 years, would it be okay for them to live indoors?

ya no problem at all however the dogs may like outside better bc my dog used to be inside when she was a puppy then she got used to outside and whenever we bring her in she wants to go back out to lay in the sun. wont do anything health wise but let them outside sometimes so they can run and exercise

  • Of course it’s safe, but you will have to housebreak them, although some outside dogs will naturally want to go outside to do their business. It would be wonderful if your dogs could spend the rest of their lives indoors!!

  • what id be most worried about is if they are house broken….outside they can go when they want.

but how fast does the hair grow back? and how much was shaved…ive seen dogs with not much hair, but shed like i dont know what!!!

what kind of question is that?
    it depends upon the dogs.
they each have their own personality just like people
    are they house trained?
do they understand commands enough to not tear up the house?
do they have diseases to cause problems?
there are many other questions to answer and only u
    know the answers.

  • if you do then they will do this:

    shit on your good carpet
drink all of the dr pepper
    rickroll you
legally change you name to Regie
beat your high score on Guitar Hero 3
go see a movie and ruin the ending for you
spread a false rumor about your mom
then feed you to the rancor they have under your living room

Wowoowow hold on your horses! First you should ask yourself if your dogs have the proper training to live indoors. For example, are they ready to go to their “necessities” wherever you tell them to? I mean, you donĀ“t want to wake up one day and find a gold mine on your floor, right? haha Well, I think that is the most important thing you should know.

I’ve seen shaved dogs who are mortified once shaven. Their personalites changed until it grew back.

Dogs shouldn’t be shaved. They sweat through their tongue not through their skin. Once it’s grown back brush frequently.

They also could get sunburned with less hair.

It will take quite a bit of training to make indoor out of outside dogs.

Dogs are super easy to adapt to anything. You may have to potty train them and teach them where you don’t want them to go or what you don’t want them on but other than that there is no problem . . . you would only have a problem when they have been inside all that time and you try to thrown them in the yard talk about being up all night listening to them whine.

I’m right in the middle of getting my 10 year old dog comfortable in the house. It has been a really slow process for us. Buddy was very uncomfortable coming in the house. I used a lot of treats to lure him in then when he was in I’d just lay with him on the floor near the door so he could adjust slowly and when he wanted out I’d let him out so he didn’t feel trapped.

I’ve not had one single problem with him wanting to potty in the house at all.

Yes it should be fine. Dogs that have been outdoor dogs are usually more easy to housebreak since they are accustomed to peeing and pooping outdoors. They may not have any house manners though, so you will have to pay attention to the dogs and immediately stop behavior such as stealing food off counters, getting into the trash, and climbing up on furniture.
