Sounds a good idea! Works on sheep well

When you see the damage and violence that occur in other countries when protesters have gathered in large groups ….i think our police should be congratulated that so little damage or injury occurred …..

  • Jamie W says:

Sheep don’t throw office equipment through windows or try and hit the shepherd with an iron railing!

    sheep are more intelligent.

I seriously doubt that any protesters caused trouble, its much more likely to have been caused by police having a non uniform day.

  • Penguin_Bob says:

Yes I did. Did you also notice that many of the protesters were standing on two feet and wearing rubber boots? (Think about it!!)

  • Crow says:

Once you give up your right to protest, then you have agreed to walk silently into Hell. You are no longer a man for your children to look up to, or rely on. democracy was hard fought, yet the people of Britain, gutless, servile, limp and obedient, call for the heads of those who still have the balls to shout their indignity and frustration. What on earth has happened here?

I didn’t see any Collie dogs so how can it be compared with sheepdog trials?. I don’t think it was right the way the protesters were treated, Big Brother at it again

  • EddyJ says:

What an appropriate analogy. When protesters act like animals they should be treated like animals.

  • gordon3392 says:

It was not that well planned by the police some constables did not attache there chin straps to there helmets ,causing them to hold the helmet stopping it falling of , and any missiles would have created serious injury, no i would rather watch One Man and hes dog The other ,was a complete Shambles ,

All of these tactics used by the police in crowd control go back as far as Roman times and beyond. People in crowds are brave, separate them isolate them then identify them. It worked back then and it still does.

Herding trials were developed in the same manner for dealing with moving a flock or herd of animals. These practises also go back to when we first noticed wolves and wild dogs in the wild herding the flock of prey to isolate and identify the weak so they could be taken down.

It works and it works well.

Londons been a dairy for years.
Good thing it was not war time they might have all been shot.

  • Hookit says:

People complain about the police but has anyone thought how much these protesters cost the country.
I am all for people being able to have peaceful protest but we always get the thugs who join them for the soul purpose of causing trouble.
We should treat these thugs like sheep and send Them to the slaughter house.
They spoil the reason why groups are protesting and people then ignore the reason for the peaceful protest and tar them all with the same brush as thugs.
