They would be born that way and not develoup it later. Either compromised or not. These pups look old enouph to pretty much tell. And looked big and healthy too. But do get the vets opinion.
A blind dog is a little of a challenge. But once they learn the routine they are pretty sound in it. Use their highly tuned ears and whisker sences. If blind and deaf it is a lost cause pretty much. Again These pups both looked at the camera with interest…
The only problem with the deaf dog is need to protect it as it can be accidently hit more easily. Teach sign language and use body language and they do just fine. But keep a fenced yard for its protection.
Only need to take both if they are partnered and disabled. They sort of become one working unit. It apears to me in the photo that one was dominant and protective and the other the follower. But both/either is fine on its own if it has normal hearing and sight and or you are willing to work with handicapps.
I can tell you from experience that the sighted and hearing and well double delute is a gloriously gorgiouse white. Very unjusual for its blue eyes and very fun and something you can be proud of. deaf or not.
