The Gaelic for sheep dog is “Madra Caorach” Madra meaning dog and caorach meaning sheep. Madra is a good name.
The croatian word for sheepdog is “ovcar” which is where my collies name Oscar comes from.
If you type sheepdog into word then spell checker also comes up with a suggestion of “Sheezdi” which is also a good name!
In finnish, sheepdog is “Paimenkoira” Koira is also a good name.
Good luck with the name choice
welsh which is a celtic language sheep dog would be ci dafadd, whiich is a mouthfu,l dog in welsh is ci pronounced key.
