My question to you is, why would you WANT him to be awake when HE WANTS to sleep? He gets his daily dose of exercise according to your comments, and he gets to “play” with the grandkids for his “fun time”, and he probably gets regular attention from you, a nice bath, he gets fed, drinks water… all the good loving stuff………so, sleeping isn’t bad. He may look rather worn or sad maybe to you, but to him….he’s relaxed, content, secure, warm, rested….and napping. What a WONDERFUL life. Can I have you for my mommy?? Smiles……you are doing a wonderful job for your little furry friend…..PLEASE keep up the great work, and believe me, he will let you know if he is “bored”. Bordom brings ill actions like peeing inside, chewing up shoes or plants, complaints, etc.. Let the sweetheart sleep if he wants. Exercise, love, attention, good food, play time, toys…..sounds good to me. Take care…….OH, and try brushing him while he is resting/sleeping…..he may LOVE it!! Mine does as it’s a form of therapy and massage for a dog. I think I’m gonna go do that right now for my golden retriever…..my best friend!! Blessings!
It’s a dog’s life.
he maybe needs of friend to paly good luck
well maybe you don’t know but while you sleep he may be awake
dogs do sleep alot genrally but alot of the time they walk around and do generally normal things for a dog when you are asleep
